No. 3 Dim Sum Chef

Job Purpose

Assist the No. 1 & No. 2 Dim Sum Chef to manage the daily operations of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce dim sum for banquets
  • Transform raw materials into various fillings ready for dim sum production
  • Monitor the quality and freshness of raw materials and prepared fillings
  • Store prepared fillings correctly
  • Maintain HACCP standards for dry and cold storage, and clean and tidy dim sum stations
  • Keep inventory of all bamboo steamers and ensure they are always in stock and in top condition
  • Continuously improve health and safety standards
  • Accept any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the No. 1 & No. 2 Dim Sum Chefs

Competencies and Requirements

Experience: 10 to 15 years’ experience in dim sum cooking

Knowledge/Certificates: Excellent product knowledge of dim sum cuisine

Education: Secondary school or equivalent

Language Abilities: Fluent Cantonese

Computer Skills: Basic
