Man Cheang is a vivacious individual whose passion for cooking was ignited by her father, an experienced dim sum chef. In her childhood, Man dreamed of becoming an exceptional chef.
Driven by her determination, Man pursued a degree in Culinary Management at the Macao University of Tourism. Her journey led her to an internship at Wynn, where she experienced firsthand the Company’s core value of “Only people make people happy” and its commitment to cultivating and nurturing talent. Under the mentorship of seasoned chefs at Wynn, Man flourished in a supportive learning environment. Surrounded by caring colleagues, she quickly integrated into the team, honing her skills and gaining invaluable experience.
At the culmination of her internship, Man was presented with a heartfelt farewell gift from her master chef: specially crafted pasta infused with tarragon, her favorite herb. The gift was based on their collaboration in the kitchen and captured the warmth of her Wynn experience, which helped solidify her resolve to pursue a career in the culinary arts. The internship at Wynn laid a good foundation for Man. With her dedication and exceptional performance, she was rewarded the priority for a full-time job opportunity.
Now a full-time chef at Wynn, Man is an important part of the culinary team and is grateful for the opportunities she was given throughout her learning journey. She urges students and interns to explore diverse paths rather than confining themselves to conventional roles.
“I am happy with my decision to join the operations team, especially during my internship,” Man shares. “People should explore while they are young and refuse to limit themselves. It’s only through openness that people can discover their future direction.”
