Job Description

Job Purpose:
Assist the Chef de Cuisine to manage the daily operations of the kitchen and lead, motivate and coach the kitchen team to exceed guests’ expectations for high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the management of the kitchen’s daily operations
• Monitor consumption and maximise capacity of resources and equipment
• Create weekly executive set lunch, monthly, promotional and seasonal menus in cooperation with the Chef de Cuisine
• Monitor the quality of dishes produced in the kitchen
• Ensure the kitchen and utensils are clean and hygienic
• Continuously improve health and safety standards
• Perform duties assigned by the Chef de Cuisine and assume managerial responsibilities in the Chef de Cuisine’s absence

Competencies and Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a 4 to 5 star Western kitchen
Knowledge/Certificates: Excellent product knowledge of international cuisine and pricing of supplies
Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent
Language Abilities: Good English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Computer Skills: Basic
